The Shining Movie Story
In an effort to overcome his writer’s block, Jack Torrance (Jack Nicholson) becomes the winter caretaker of the secluded Overlook Hotel in Colorado. He moves in with his wife Wendy (Shelley Duvall) and their son Danny (Danny Lloyd), who is plagued by supernatural premonitions. As Jack’s writing skills decline and Danny’s hallucinations become more disturbing, Jack discovers the hotel’s dark secret and becomes a homicidal maniac hell-bent on terrorizing families.
