Terms of Endearment Movie Story
Widow Aurora Greenway (Shirley MacLaine) and her daughter Emma (Debra Winger) have a strong bond, but Emma marries teacher Flap Horton (Jeff Daniels) against her mother’s wishes. When the marriage falls apart due to Flap’s infidelity, Emma finally breaks up with him and returns to her mother, who is dating a former astronaut (Jack Nicholson). Soon, Emma finds out she has terminal cancer. In the hospital, with Aurora’s support, she tries to reconcile with Flap and the children.
