Slumdog Millionaire Movie Story
When 18-year-old Jamal Malik (Dev Patel) answers the question in the Indian version of Who Wants to be a Millionaire, a flashback shows how he would have answered it. After the death of their mother, Jamal and his brother Salim join a group of young thieves and survive on the streets of Mumbai. While Salim finds a life of crime enjoyable, Jamal survives by doing small jobs until he is awarded a spot on a game show.
