Glory Movie Story
After the Battle of Antietam, Colonel Robert Gould Shaw (Matthew Broderick) is offered command of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, the first all-African American regiment in the United States. Shaw, along with junior officer Cabot Forbes (Cary Elwes), builds a strong and proud unit that includes the escaped slave Tripp (Denzel Washington) and the clever gravedigger John Rawlins (Morgan Freeman). Initially limited to simple manual labor, the regiment struggles to survive in the heat of battle.
