The King’s Speech Movie Story
Britain’s Prince Albert (Colin Firth) is meant to be King George VI. He ascends to the throne but suffers from a speech impediment. Elizabeth (Helena Bonham Carter) knows the country needs her husband to communicate better, so she hires Australian actor and speech therapist Lionel Logue (Geoffrey Rush) to help him overcome his stutter. As Logue uses unconventional methods to teach the King to speak with confidence, the two develop an extraordinary friendship.
