Helicopter pilot Colter Stevens (Jake Gyllenhaal) is part of a top-secret military operation that involves witnessing the final moments of Shawn Fentress, who was killed in a commuter train explosion. Colter’s mission objective is to discover the identity of the assassin and prevent a similar catastrophe. As Colter experiences Shawn’s final moments, he becomes increasingly convinced that he can prevent the original tragedy – if only time is running out.
